On August 18, a working meeting of the leadership of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine with the Attaché for Law Enforcement of the French Embassy in Ukraine Jean-Luc Lomon took place. The parties discussed a number of important tasks aimed at solving the issue of replenishment and renewal of the motor car park of the SES of Ukraine with modernized equipment, including automobile firefighting ladders.

According to the Deputy Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergencies Ruslan Biloshitskyi, the issue of equipping fire and rescue units of the SES with modern firefighting equipment for work at height is very urgent and needs high attention. The French Embassy in Ukraine promotes cooperation between the Ukrainian and French parties, as a result of which the Rescue Service of Ukraine received significant assistance in updating the material base of the SES. Ruslan Biloshitsky thanked Jean-Luc Lomon for the assistance and support of the French Embassy in Ukraine and expressed hope for fruitful cooperation in the future.

"I want to emphasize that the SES of Ukraine is interested in the further development of Ukrainian-French relations and participation in joint projects and programs aimed at fruitful bilateral cooperation," said the Deputy Head of the SES.

In turn, the attache for law enforcement of the French Embassy in Ukraine Jean-Luc Lomon said that contact has already been established and there are preliminary agreements with the French manufacturer of firefighting equipment GIMAEX to provide the Rescue Service of Ukraine with modern firefighting equipment. Moreover, GIMAEX is already waiting for proposals and wishes from the Ukrainian side.

The participants of the event agreed that in the autumn in France the Ukrainian delegation will meet with the manufacturer of fire-fighting equipment, then they will discuss all the details of the order.
