American experts provide the training course with Ukrainian rescuers in Sumy oblast

“Prevention of the Proliferation of Radioactive and Hazardous Chemicals” - this is the name of five-day training course of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency that begun on September, 9 at the Interregional Emergency Response Center of the SESU for the specialists, who can be engaged to emergencies related to radiation and hazardous chemicals. 

40 specialists of radiation and chemical protection of the SESU are taking part in the event, in particular, the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine, the Mobile Rescue Center for Rapid Response, the Training Center of Operative Rescue Service of Civil Protection, the Support Office of Operative Rescue Service of Civil Protection, as well as the Interregional Center for Rapid Response of Ukraine.

“We are pleased to welcome our colleagues from the United States of America to Ukraine,” - said the Chief of the Interregional Center for Rapid Response of the SESU Serhii Biliaev. - The Earth is our common home. And how professionally we will respond to potential challenges may depend on the health and life of citizens of our country and humanity. Therefore, I thank all participants of the seminar for their allegiance to the occupation. I am sure that such experience exchange should be continued”.
