Until the end of the voting process of the citizens the SES units have been transferred to higher alert regime

In order to increase the readiness of the SES units and subdivisions to respond as intended in case of emergencies, as well as organizing measures to ensure fire and technological safety in facilities involved in electoral process during March 31, starting from 9.00 March 25, the forces of the SES of Ukraine have been transferred a higher alert.

From Monday, March 25, the operational inter-sectoral staff under the Ministry of Interior that was headed by First Deputy Minister Sergei Yarovoy, began its operation.

Thus, during the last week before the elections, round-the-clock shifts of operational groups was organized for the sake of monitoring of the situation with emergencies and dangerous events, coordination of forces and units of the SES, as well as interaction with law enforcement and other state bodies providing security at objects involved in elections.

At the same time, in the buildings where polling stations are located, duty fire posts have been organized in order to provide initial response to emergencies, fires and dangerous events.

To ensure the implementation of work related to the survey of areas for the presence of explosive objects, these facilities involved also the pyrotechnics from the SES.

In addition, the SES aircraft is alerted for emergency response and emergencies.
